Goals of the Conference
To give an overview of scientific research, their results and applications in the field of marine technology, and their importance for the economy and to stimulate the development of this activity in Croatia.
Inform the general, scientific and expert public about the importance of the economic activity of marine technology.
Provide information on the marine industry's business activities that need to be taken into account at a time when the main directions of our technological development are determined.
Encourage the establishment of a high degree of coordination and cooperation in economic activities related to the sea and marine technology, in particular from the aspect of necessary export expansion.
Give elements to participate in international technology transfer based on their own technological knowledge.

About the Conference
Conference is held as a two-day event, which begins on November 15, 2019 at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Rijeka. The work of the Conference will take place through oral presentations in Croatian or English for a maximum duration of 15 minutes. All summaries together with the program will be published on the web site of the Conference http://www.riteh.uniri.hr/winkler . All the applications will be double-peer reviewed. In collaboration with the Journal of Maritime & Transportation Sciences, the full papers will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Maritime & Transportation Sciences (ISSN 0554-6397 Print, ISSN 1848-9052 Online): https://hrcak.srce.hr/pomorski-zbornik which is indexed in the following databases: ASFA (CSA) Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts, TRID– the TRIS and ITRD database, EBSCO Academic Search Complete, PROQUEST - Natural Science Collection, SciTech Collection, Technology Collection, Ulrich's Intl Periodicals Directory, News of New Electronic Journals, ZDB - Zeitschriftendatenbank, PROQUEST-ZDB–Zeitschriftendatenbank, Worldcat Libraries, HRČAK etc. Papers are written in standard Croatian language and / or English, and summaries are mandatory in both languages. The full papers that will be published in the special issue of the Journal of Maritime & Transportation Sciences are written in English.
Interested participants can apply for participation by completing the Application Form, which is attached to this notice. The application form should be fullfilled by all participants, authors and co-authors.
Papers are submitted by sending abstracts in Croatian and English. The abstract template can be downloaded from the conference web site.

Students (not PhD): free
The completed application form and summary should be sent by e-mail, as attachment, to the contact person at e-mails:email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org not later than June 30, 2019.
Abstracts acceptance notice, together with a template for writing full papers (up to 5000 words / 16 pages) will be sent to authors byJuly 5, 2019.
The deadline for submitting full papers isAugust 20, 2019.
The notice of full paper review, and acceptance will be sent to the authors bySeptember 20, 2019.
The final deadline for submission of revised/final papers isSeptember 30, 2019.
