Field of expertise

The researches done by the members of laboratory can be classifed in two different fields: power systems measurements and biomedical measurements and general instrumentation.

Expertise in power systems measurements include:

  • measurements of harmonic distortion
  • application of synchrophasor measurements for detection of abnormal system states
  • diagnostics and troubleshooting in electric power systems
  • diagnostics of power transformers (tan delta), cables (partial discharges) and power system protection
  • localization of power system disturbances

Expertise in biomedical measurements and general instrumentation include:

  • EEG signal analyses
    • spectral analyses
    • application of ICA
    • artefact removal
    • P300 detection
  • application of spectral analyses in neurofeedback applications
  • BCI based on EEG
  • analog signal processing

Laboratory equipment

Laboratory inventory includes measurement equipment for electric and electronic measurements. The equipment is used for education, research and for implementation of projects in collaboration with industry.
